An Article on the Importance of Articles




Articles are exploding as the latest, most cost effective method of online marketing.  An article by nature is meant to be fresh, informative and enjoyable to read.  If your article contains these elements, it is likely to be picked up by sites aroud the web and ideally will gain you many new prospects and customers.  Because no one wants to read what is essentially a long advertisement, an article is not designed to be self-promotional.  However, every article has a footer containing your name, title, contact information and website.  If your article is picked up by bloggers and other websites for re-distribution, the footer is required to be at the base and will thus gain you free advertising  each and every time your article is published.

When you commit to promoting yourself through articles, you should ideally be putting out an article a week for six months.  While this may seem like a lot, it is proven to be one of the most effective online marketing strategies available.  Considering it will cost you anywhere $500-$4,000 for a one time advertisement in a magazine that people tend to breeze through and replace when the next magazine arrives in their mailbox~an article is far more price-effective.  If you can only afford to publish one article, its better than no article. 

Once I publish your article, it's out there permanently and will constantly gain advertising for you at no additional cost.  An article affords you space to get your message across and is more attention grabbing than a print ad.  An article will also gain you rankings with those coveted search engines by repeatedly associating your name, website and business with a particular specialty, where a print ad will not.  And finally, an article is available to anyone in the world with an internet connection who is searching for information on your topic-a limitless audience.

In today's ever growing online business community, there is absolutely no good reason for not publishing articles.  If you're not-you can almost guarantee that your competition is.  Don't let them take the business that could be yours.
