I wanted to take some time to 'lay it all out' & explain a little about what I do around here. Its my goal (and my passion) to help women who own small businesses succeed. With hundreds of thousands of new websites cropping up every day, its harder and harder to become, and stay, relevant. Luckily, there's friendly, fun and affordable help available! I handle all phases of businesses from the very beginning to the downsizing. The main facets of my business are the promotional aspects that happen through branding, copywriting and positioning you effectively though online marketing. Its time to work smarter, not harder.
If you have no idea where to start, I can help you:
Whatever you need in the way of helping your business get noticed by potential customers as well as by search engines...I'm your (wo)man. I also offer product entry as well as sales and marketing consultations.
::WHO::
I'm a sorta 'behind the scenes' kinda gal. No curtain call for me, please. I prefer to sit in the back row and watch others enjoy the spotlight. I started this business as a way to help promote women in small business who are just getting started or having trouble creating (or keeping) their brand relevant. If you want to find out more about me, you can do so here.
Sometimes words aren't enough and besides...I don't like being all alone back here behind the scenes. I have a couple of 'experts in their field' friends who are back here with me~just in case we need to call upon each other to perfect the package.
Renowned digital design goddess, Catherine Haugland of Avalon Rose Design is the go-to gal of getting your web design up and running. She offers everything from website design to print add ons to digital elements. If you haven't done so, take a moment to check out her extensive (and pretty impressive) portfolio. Perhaps she is the one who sent you here in the first place? Be sure to let me know!
Sometimes we need a little personality to enhance our posts-that's when I turn to the very playfully sophisticated, photographer Jennifer Wolsey. She provides the darling stock images we use around here to give our posts some visual expression. You can see some of her work here. Feel free to use the images we offer here for your personal blogs, websites and more.
::WHAT::
The thing I spend the largest amount of time on around here is Copywriting. The art of verbally enhancing something to the point where it is at its most marketable..all the while attracting search engines and customers. So what gets your website noticed?
1. Location, location, location. You might have the most enticing products at the fairest prices available. But if no one knows who you are or where to find you. Who cares? Every online business NEEDS to have SEO (search engine optimized) copy written to help them get noticed by the search engines. SEO copywriting is nothing short of a science to help strategically plug relevant 'hot' and 'popularly searched' words into your website description, your product descriptions, titles, categories, about me pages, blog posts, articles and more. Search engines pick up on these words and that will eventually help bring your site 'up' in the rankings. Its a non-negotiable as far as success goes. And the best news of all - its VERY affordable. So now you have browsers! But what changes your browser into a buyer?
2. Your product. Having a great product at a fair price is essential. However, you can have the BEST product out there but if you are not properly 'showing it to' the potential customer, you merely have someone who is admiring your work, not awaiting its arrival in their mailbox. That's where I come in. Copywritten product descriptions and creative and engaging category names are proven to turn tire kickers into customers.
In the world of virtual marketing, things are a lot different. Its far less intimidating for browsers to 'window shop' as a sales associate isn't going to follow them around the store trying to 'assist them' in making a purchase. They can click here, click there and just leisurely browse. You want an easily navigable purchase path that shows the potential buyer what they need to see as quickly and as effectively as possible. A catchy category name, an enticing item title and product description are what will turn 'the browser' into 'the owner'.
3. You. People like to know who they are buying from. Especially when they can't engage in small talk as in a standard shop setting. If you had one chance to put your best foot forward what would you say to your potential customers? They want to relate to you. They want to feel comfortable with you. They want to like you. Your About Me/Bio is the place to make that happen.
4. Blog Posts and Articles. Taking the 'you' piece a step further, is the fluff. The 'fluff' is the 'stuff' that gets you noticed as a business and as a professional. If you want to position yourself as an expert in a field or a craft, one of the most tried and true ways to do so (that also happens to be fast, effective, inexpensive and easy) is to write an article and to maintain an engaging blog. Not only are you sharing your skills and expertise with potential customers for at no charge to them, you are advertising yourself to potential customers, at no charge to YOU. The best part? All the while you are still unwittingly tricking those fickle search engines into associating promotional ad words with your name and business. Genius.
So that's about it in a nutshell. I work on a first come- first served basis.
and we can discuss how to get you started on the path to success.
